Notes:
Scenes, Part II is a serial composition. The twelve-tone row was generated by various combinations of half-steps and tritones. The series was used primarily to control pitch and the placement of various sections. In the improvised sections, pitch (not rhythm) is notated. Some sections are repeated and jazz-influenced rhythms are prominent. The work was commissioned by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Chamber Players.
